Lameness that does not improve or if ligament is torn dog will be in pain and cannot put weight on limb. Injury often seen after running hard or exercising.

Often seen in overweight dogs or dogs that do a lot of jumping or running (gun dogs) - sudden jumping or running, twisting. Sometimes genetic in certain breeds

Surgical repair in some cases, homeopathy and rest if injury is minor - see your vet
